Azahara Cerezo graduated in Audiovisual Communication (Autonomous University of Barcelona, 2010) and holds a MA in Visual Arts and Multimedia (Polytechnic University of Valencia, 2011).
Her work has been shown in group exhibitions such as Un món paral·lel, curated by Joan Fontcuberta (travelling exhibition. She has done residencies in Gozo (Malta) as part of the Fondazzjoni Kreattività and Valletta 2018 program, Casa de Velázquez (exchange program Hangar/Institut Français), Hangar (Barcelona), 1646 (The Hague, Netherlands), MoTA (Ljubljana, Slovenia) as well as Flax Art Studios and Digital Arts Studios, both in Belfast (Northern Ireland).
She has been awarded grants such as the College d’Espagne à Paris (Spanish Ministry of Culture), the Art-Ex grant (MAEC-AECID), the travel grant from Cimetta Fund and the Bòlit Mentor (education program. Bòlit, Girona).
From time to time, she has presented her work at talks and events, for instance, at Paratext #8 (Hangar, Barcelona), Actions in between the rescue (project presentation. Golden Thread Gallery. Belfast, Northern Ireland), the T.R.I.B.E. SeaStation (symposium at ARTos Foundation. Nicosia, Cyprus) and Especies de espacios/Avant-Sala (Sala d'Art Jove, Barcelona).
